Over the course of thousands of years, people's natures really haven't changed that much. When left to our own devices, life tends to spiral out of control as we make one mistake after another. You may not know why that is, but you can't deny that's life for you. The Bible doesn't shy-away from that reality, but instead tells the dirty stories of what that creates in the world, and the book of Judges does so in painful detail.
We'll spend the next few months slowly walking through these stories of Broken Saviors whom God raises-up to deliver His people from enemy after enemy, tracking their short-lived successes due to people's innate inability to follow God with a whole heart.
Last Week's Sermon
Don't Waste Your Life
Judges 16:21-31 / May 31, 2026
-----------------------------------------
In Samson's final moments, Judges 16 reveals both the tragedy of a wasted life and the grace of a God who refuses to waste His glory. Though Samson's disobedience led to devastating consequences, God still used his imperfect prayer and sacrificial death to accomplish His purposes and point to the greater sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
This message challenges us to examine how we invest our time, abilities, and resources so that we don't waste our lives on temporary pursuits but instead live for God's eternal glory.
